One day an old man wrote a letter to God

One day an old man wrote a letter to God and tied the letter to a tree outside a church.

The priest came and took down the letter.

It read, “Please God, I’m a poor man, please send me $100,000 so I can pay my debts and live peacefully.”

As a kind priest, he took donations around town for the old man and raised $5,000.

He put it in an envelope and wrote “From God” on it and left it next to the tree when he saw the old man come visit again.

The next day, the old man came back and tied another letter to the tree.

The priest then came and took down the letter and read it excitedly, “Dear God, thank you for sending me the money. Please send it directly to me next time because the priest cannot be trusted. Can you believe he took $95,000 of that money?

A Priest and a Taxi Driver

A priest and a taxi driver both passed away and went to Heaven.

St. Peter was waiting for them at the Pearly gates.

“Come with me,” said St. Peter to the taxi driver.

The taxi driver did what he was told and followed St. Peter to a mansion.

It had everything you could imagine, from a bowling alley to an Olympic size pool.

“Wow, thank you,” said the taxi driver.

Then St. Peter led the priest to a rugged old shack with a bunk bed and a little old television set.

“Wait, I think you are a little mixed up,’ said the priest.

‘Shouldn’t I be the one who gets the mansion? After all, I was a priest, went to church every day, and preached God’s word.’

‘Yes, that’s true. But during your sermons people slept. When the taxi driver drove, everyone prayed.’

This joke has been circulating for years and still makes me laugh!

Hope this funny story will make you smile! Have a nice day!!
