Richard is always being teased by the other neighborhood boys for being stupid.
Their favorite joke is to offer Richard his choice between a nickel and a dime Richard always takes the nickel.
One day, after Richard takes the nickel, a neighbor takes him aside and says, “Richard, those boys are making fun of you. Don’t you know that a dime is worth more than a nickel, even though the nickel’s bigger?”
Richard grins and says, “Well, if I took the dime, they’d stop doing it, and so far I’ve made $20!”

Little Johnny comes downstairs crying.
His mother asked, “What’s the matter little Johnny?”
“Dad was hanging pictures, and just hit his thumb bang on with the hammer!” said little Johnny through his tears.
His mother was touched by the boy’s sensitivity but didn’t like seeing him cry.
“That’s not so serious.” She tried to soothe him. “Now I know you’re upset, but a big boy like you shouldn’t cry at something like that. That’s something to laugh about.”
“I did!” sobbed Johnny.
Is it funny?
